How To Setup Your Canon IJ Printer?

1. In the first and foremost step remove the orange tapes. Remove and discard the tapes.
2. Check the printer for any orange tapes, remove them, and discard the tapes. 
3. Next, you need to install a print head. 
4. For that, open the print head locking cover and peel off the protective tape. 
5. Now, install the color print head to the left side. 
6. Repeat the same steps with a black print head and install it on the right side. 
7. Now, carefully close the print head locking cover by pressing it down until the click sound. Also, push the joint buttons until you hear a click sound. 
8. Finally, close the scanning unit cover.
9. Next, switch on the power button. 
10. Select the language and click on ‘Yes’ and proceed as instructed.
11. Now, you’ve got to pour the ink. 
12. To do so, open the scanning unit cover and open the tank cap on the left for pouring black ink. 
13. Hold the ink bottle upright, twist, and open the cap. Fit the tip of the ink bottle into the inlet on the printer by holding the ink bottle straight upside down. 
14. When all the ink is poured, be sure to close the tank cap. 
15. Now, pour the colored ink in the same way. Pour each color into its respective color tank.
16. Finally, close the scanning unit cover and proceed with the ink system preparation.
17. Next, load plain LTR or A4 size paper. For that, open the feed slot cover by sliding out the paper support. 
18. Move the right paper guide to the edge. By keeping, the printing side facing upload the sheets. 
19. Now, adjust the right paper guide to the width of the paper. 
20. Close the feed slot cover and slide out the paper output tray. 
21. Open the output tray extension.
